Niamh Brennan is the Assistant Librarian in the Berkeley Library in Trinity College, Dublin in Ireland. She is in expert in institutional repository construction and curation. Her current research interests include: interoperability, web-based user interfaces to distributed resources, online communities and user-generated content, emerging standards for research information, research evaluation standards and bibliometrics.

She has been or is a member of the following important Irish research strategy groups and committees: Expertise Ireland Advisory Group (Member), Expertise Ireland Advisory Group Subcommittee (Chair); IUA Researcher Mobility Portal Advisory Group; NDLR (National Digital Learning Objects Repository Committee) (Member) and the NDLR Interoperability Subcommittee.
