Moira Bent

Moira has worked in University libraries for over 20 years and is currently Faculty Liaison Librarian for Science at Newcastle University. She is also a National Teaching Fellow (HEA 2005) and has undertaken research into "transitions into HE", "information literacy perceptions in schools and universities" and "writing for publication". She is co-author of "Providing Effective Library Services for Research" (Facet, 2007) and the SCONUL "Guidelines on Library Services for International Students" (2008) and she has published several journal articles in recent years. Amongst other responsibilities she chairs the UK Universities Science Librarian's group and is a member of the SCONUL Working Group on Information Literacy and the RIN Information Handling Skills Advocacy Group.
