Jolijn Trietsch, M.D. studied medicine at Leiden University in the Netherlands and the Academic Hospital of Paramaribo in Surinam, South America. She is currently researching vulvar carcinoma as a PhD-candidate at the Leiden University Medical Center.

She has worked as educational advisor for the Board of Directors at the LUMC and now represents the hospitals researchers in the Medical Researchers Association.
