After ten years of fundamental physics research on semiconductors, Mr Sieverts’ interest has turned to the field of library & information science. Since 1980 he has been a zealous user of retrieval systems and search engines. Presently he serves as R&D consultant at the innovation department of Utrecht University Library. Furthermore he is senior lecturer information science at the Media, Information & Communication programme of the Amsterdam School of Design and Communication. In his spare time Eric is editor and columnist of the Dutch magazine Informatie Professional. Recently he co-authored a Dutch textbook on subject indexing.
